Families can be forever ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿ‘ง‍๐Ÿ‘ง‍

Aloha everyone!

This week was great!! The day we had been waiting and waiting for finally came!! The baptism of Chad Lewis!! It was a glorious day, angels in heaven were rejoicing! There were tons of family and friends there to support him, so many that we had to have the opening and closing program in the chapel! We sang "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" and another missionary played the guitar for us and it was so great because the Spirit testifies so strongly through music. Chad is amazing, his testimony is so powerful. Getting to be part of his journey and witness him learning all these things takes me back to my own conversion and reminds me so much of the things I thought and felt when I was learning. He said this is a big step for him in his life and he is excited to begin! It strengthens my testimony even more to be a part of his learning process. The Lewis's are an all around amazing family. I feel so comfortable in their home, the spirit resides there in abundance. Chad's wife Jennifer is so amazing too!
She has been though so much in her life and she is one of the sweetest kindest people I know, and her son Mason passed the sacrament for the first time this Sunday!! He is the sweetest kid ever and has such a strong conviction of the gospel.

We also went to temple square with Rachel this week!! It was so awesome because Rachel had never been before and the sister missionaries there took us through a presentation on the family. It really touched all of us, especially Rachel because the reason she started meeting with us in the first place is because she wants to be sealed to her daughter Alorah some day. It was a beautiful testimony to how important Temples are and how lucky we are to have them to be able to be sealed with our families for time and all eternity.

The thing I loved most about this week was seeing so many families. Nobody's family is perfect, but there is a special love and a bond within the members of a family that make each one unique.  All families have struggles and some are bigger than others, but we have a loving Father in Heaven who understands perfectly, and is the perfect judge. There are so many people out here who have adopted me into their families and I feel like they are part of mine. Which is amazing because we really are all Spirit brothers and sisters! I hope I see every person I have met out here back in heaven one day, because heaven just wouldn't be heaven if my family members were not all there. I love my family so much and now everyone out there who is part of my extended family. That includes everyone reading this email. Haha.

I want to invite you to show love to your family members this week, whether is be through acts of service or kind words, we can never tell our families that we love them too much or how important they are to us. SHOUT OUT TO DAD AND JENNY!! I love you all, I hope you have an amazing week!

Love,
Sister Abby Martinez
