Guess what ya'll....

I'M TRAINING!!! IM GONNA BE A MOM!!!! AHHH!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!! SHES FROM COLOMBIA!!! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡΄πŸ˜„

Not to sound prideful but... I SO CALLED IT!!! Haha
I'm so excited!! Her name is Sister RincΓ³n and she's from Colombia! We don't know if she speaks English or not or which MTC she's coming from or if she's called English or Spanish speaking. But if she's from Colombia then she definitely speaks Spanish haha. Ahhh!!! I'm excited!
I don't know why but I've been having this feeling for a while so I've been trying to prepare myself for it. Now I'm glad I did because it happened! I feel more at peace with it now because I know she doesn't expect me to be perfect and to just try my very best. When we got the call and they told me where she was from that's when I knew everything was going to okay, because my trainer Sister Romero is from Colombia.
She is going to freak out when I tell her. I don't know why the Lord has this thing for me and Colombian companions, but it's funny.
This week we brought our investigator Daniel to a baptism for a 90 year old lady in another stake. It was one of the coolest baptisms I have ever been to. 90 years old as she has finally excepted the gospel! Just goes to show its never too late! 😊 it took 3 elders to baptize her, she is such a sweet lady and she was so happy to be baptized. But this baptism was really special for me because I got to
be a CNA again! πŸ˜„ When we got there the Relief Society president wasn't there yet to help the lady get undressed and changed into the jump suit, and my companion and I were on splits. So they needed someone to help her in the bathroom and they asked me! So I got to help her change before and after the baptism and talk to her and it was like I was back in my element and it was super great!! I had always hoped that those skills would come in handy on the mission but I wasn't sure how. Haha
I get to go with Sister Neal to the airport tomorrow morning so that will be really bitter sweet. She's one of my favorite companions. But she's only in Oregon so we will be super close after the mission.

Well, that was my week! I love being on the mission more and more every day. To be honest I kind of forget what life was like back home now cause I've been doing this for so long, but I kind of like it that way. I don't have to worry about school or work or anything like that, I just get to go out a LOVE PEOPLE and talk about Jesus!! πŸ˜„ It's hard for sure, but it's so worth it.

I hope you all are well, I love you and miss you!!

Love,
Sister Abby Martinez
