I have never been so busy or worked harder my entire
mission than this week. I was literally ready to drop dead at the end of every
day. My poor greenie, I ask so much of her and she rises up and does it all
without complaint. She gave her first talk in sacrament, taught the Restoration
with me at a baptism, invited someone to be baptized, led music at the baptism,
all in her first week, she's a baller!!! She is so awesome.
Training is fun, but stressful. I know I'm not perfect, so,
I don't try to be. I think the key is to just be as obedient as I can and
apologize to her when I mess up and try to be better. I know she doesn't expect
me to be perfect, so that's good.
I got to take Sister Neal to airport to say goodbye, it
was a bitter sweet. To be honest it made me realize how hard it's going to be
to go home. Good thing we don't have to worry about that for a while! One Year Left!
We had a baptism this week! (Finally) haha! Yazmin had
been on date for over 3 transfers and every time something came up that the
date kept having to get pushed back further and further, so finally it
happened!
It was super great, there were sooo many people there to
support her.
We also had a lesson with this family that has had
reservations about their kids being baptized until they know enough, even though
they have super strong testimonies. But we went over and taught a lesson and
ended up inviting them to be baptized and Sister Bravo (she has two last names, Bravo RincΓ³n but she
chooses to just go by the first cause it's easier for people to say ππππ) extended the invitation and they said yes!! I
had a proud Mom moment, haha.
Overall, this week was amazing, I'm nervous going into
this next week because it will be very different planning wise, because I will
need to include her in all the decisions, even though she doesn't know many
people yet. But, it will all work out well because this is the Lord's area and he's
in charge. I hope you all had a wonderful week and can take the time to look
for the little ways that the Lord is blessing your life's each day! I love you all
so much!
Happy Memorial Day!!
Love,
Sister Abby Martinez
