First P-Day

P-Day for Sister Abby Martinez is on Tuesdays and I heard from her today!

Here are some updates:

I LOVE THE MTC! Oh my gosh it is the best. Yeah, it is hard at times, but when I have struggled with the teachings they always turn into growth moments and I learn more about myself and I feel like my faith grows. My companion is from the Sacramento, California area and we are a match made in heaven, I kid you not. We have the companionship of two other sisters in our district. I LOVE MY DISTRICT. Holy cow, they are incredible. The Elders are all so fun. Three of them are country boys and talk a lot about huntin and fishin. We have had some amazing spiritual conversations. Our teachers do so much to help us while trying really hard not to bore us. The food here is good and I have actually lost weight while I've been here cause I'm a slow eater and here if you don't eat fast you don't eat at all. Plus, because of the way scheduling works we eat dinner at like 4:00PM ... But overall, this place is great. 
After being here and teaching a little bit, I now know what it means to "teach by the spirit" and when you don't have it there, it's really hard. Our very first lesson that we taught with our investigator didn't have the Spirit, but the last two we have taught did, and you can feel the difference. It's incredible! 
Today we went to do a session in the Provo Temple and I ran into Sister Beckstrand!!! I don't know if you remember her, she was one of the first sister missionaries that came to visit us. It was such a huge blessing to be able to talk to her because now I am in the shoes she once wore.

Honestly, I have learned so much while being here and I wish I could write it all down. I should be worn out because my body is not used to the schedule ... but I don't feel tired. But when you know you're doing exactly what the Lord wants you to do ... you wouldn't rather spend your time resting.
