Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! Mele Kalikimaka!
I hope everyone had a good Christmas!! We had a white
Christmas over here!
We had a baptism on Christmas Eve!! Luke who is 10 and
Jonah who is 8 both got baptized and confirmed by their dad! Both Luke and
Jonah have mild forms of autism, Luke's is a little more than
Jonah's though. So their parents wanted to wait until Luke was old enough to
understand the commitment he was making. The baptism was so special,
the room was packed with family members and friends and Luke was so
excited!!! He was smiling and grinning and giving everyone big hugs the
whole time.
... And when we saw him at church yesterday he was walking
around smiling and when bishop welcomed them into the ward he stood up
and gave his brother a high five. Haha this was really special for the
Ward as well, we were told they have been waiting for this day
for a long time and so it was wonderful to see it come to pass.
Sorry this email is so short this week, my companion and
I were both pretty sick this last week so we are going to try and get
some extra rest. But I want you all to know that I love you and miss
you! We had a great Christmas focused on the Savior and I had the
chance to talk to my family so that was good. I love you all so much and
I hope you have an amazing week!
Love,
Sister Abby Martinez
