Today we got our first really big snow fall and since I
am the driving companion I am learning to drive in the snow... It's
interesting. Haha I hear your worried about me? Yeah, the mission is hard but I
love it.
I'm learning things that I would never have learned being
anywhere else. Already I've learned new things about myself in the two short
weeks, I've been in the field. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything,
no matter how hard it gets. There's no such thing as "working too
hard" on the mission btw. The members here are great and take care of us.
The other night one of them changed our tail light for us and the family we
live with has been filling up our tires with air everyday for the past 3 days
because they keep going flat. Right now Sister Romero and I are sitting in the
shop waiting for them to get looked at. We get fed dinner every night.
Hopefully I will have time to call Walgreens today. Anything personal I have to
wait till Monday's to take care of.

If we read Alma 13 it tells us, and it's actually a
little scary but mostly really cool and eye opening. We have been saved for
these final days because we were "exceedingly faithful" in the pre-earth life, and because of our good works! I can't describe in this email all
of the ways I feel about this chapter except that I know it's true and as I'm
out on my mission I'm seeing more and more how far from the gospel the world is
and how lost everyone is from knowing who they TRULY are. But as missionaries
here is Tooele it's our job to remind them that they really are divine beings
with unlimited potential and the way to unlock that potential is through our
Savior!!
Keep me updated on things at home!! Send me pictures!! I
love you guys and can't wait to talk to you on Christmas!!!!
Love,
Sister Abby Martinez
